and physical body works hard to release dense energies. You may at times feel a bit ‘heavy’ or ‘off’ after dealing with a challenging situation, after talking with a friend or family member who’s going through their own struggle, or even at the end of a long day at work.
You can significantly aid the process of your body releasing denser energies. Ideally, we could all live next to the ocean and jump in daily, but if not taking a salt bath works exceptionally well. Besides there being a wealth of evidence to the physical benefits of Epsom salt or Dead Sea salt baths, from an energy perspective it also helps to clear and release energy “residue” or heaviness stuck within your body. We highly encourage clients do this after a session or day of heavy emotional processing. It gets to goo out.
- Epsom salt(available at most pharmacies for about $5-$10), OR
- Dead Sea Salt (available online or at many spas, sometimes with added essential oils, but it can be expensive. A great inexpensive option we use are the 5lb wholesale bags at www.saltworks.us)
Fill bathtub with warm water and add 2 to 3 cups of salt – even more if you’ve been processing a lot. If desired, add quartz crystals in to the tub while it’s filling up to further enhance the vibration of the water (just be careful when getting in you don’t sit on them! They can be removed once you’re in). If deeper relaxation is needed, feel free to light candles, add organic all-natural essential oils, put on your favorite relaxing music, and perhaps even sprinkle flower petals in to the water. Make it a ceremony and honor your process!
Avoid putting soap, bubble bath, or other non-natural products in to the tub. This is meant to cleanse energy.
Soak for at least 15 minutes.
Always rinse off with a quick shower after, feeling any remaining heaviness wash away.
If you have it, apply Lavender or Rose essential oil to the bottoms of your feet after drying off.
Quick Version: If you’re in a pinch and don’t have time for a bath, but need a bit of help clearing heavy energy, simply hop in the shower, get your body wet, then lightly scrub the salt all over your body. Let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse off. While it’s rinsing off, consciously visualize the heavy energy (like black soot) being rinsed away along with the salt down the drain. After toweling off, again apply essential oils such as Lavender or Rose Oil to the chakra points on the body and the bottom of the feet if you have it. This is great to do weekly to keep your energy body clean.
